Then the LORD said to Noah, come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. / And he (Abram) believed in the LORD and He accounted it to him for righteousness. / Lead me O LORD, in thy righteousness, because of mine enemies; make Your way straight before my face. / Let the heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge. / Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. / … His righteousness endureth forever. / In the way of righteousness is life: and in its pathway there is no death. / … But My righteousness shall be forever and My salvation from generation to generation. / The Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, … / … And all our righteousness are as filthy rages; and we all fade as a leaf. / I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness … / Now this is name by which He shall be called:, The LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. / Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. / Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. / But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. / And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. / For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. / Awake to righteousness and sin not; … / For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. / Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. / And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith; / Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. / Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. / My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Righteousness comes by faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. To get righteousness we need to get into the Word and then live it out by faith which intern makes us to be clothed in God’s righteousness, making it possible for us to stand before a wholly God. We are told that our own righteousness is as filthy rags (Isa 64:6); that is why we need to rely totally on the righteousness of Christ. When we do this, God see us as acceptable and worthy to enter into His presence. Christ blood makes it possible for us to enter the Holy of Holies and have a one on one relationship / fellowship with God Almighty.
Dear Jesus I humble myself in prayer and thanksgiving for what you have done for me so that I may be able to come to you as a friend and servant of yours. I worship you because you through your shed blood have made it possible for me as a priest and child of your to be able to come into the Holy of Holies, to a personal relationship with you and to have for all eternity fellowship with you and others in Heaven. Lord help me each day to be clothed in your grace righteousness in all that I say and do.
