Battle
A skirmish, a fight or a war; a clash, combat or conflict between individuals or groups of people.

Discipleship Directive:
Spiritually, the disciple also does battle with an enemy who desires to destroy us. This is why the disciple needs to put on daily the Full Armour of God. Each day we need to remember that we have an enemy that is out and about trying to destroy us personally. He also wants to destroy our family and church. His end goal is to bring about death and destruction, but Christ goal is to give us life in abundance. This is why we need to take up the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit each day through a time of prayer and stand strong in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dedication Prayer:
Lord Jesus I know that we are in a life and death battle with and enemy who wants to destroy us and your kingdom. Jesus I pray that you would remind me each day that I fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in the heavenly realm. Help me Lord each day to stay wrap up in your arms close to your heart. I know I cannot do it in my strength or power, but if I remain clothed in your full armor, we together can win any battle that Satan tries to through our way.
